What are some of the most useful concepts you have learned in the MLS program?

I want to enter the healthcare compliance field. I’m also interested in clinical ethics and bioethics. So coursework that had to do with healthcare regulation and compliance and with patient data privacy was most interesting to me.

What goals do you hope to achieve from the MLS program?

After I complete my studies, I’m going to get certified as a healthcare compliance officer, and I hope to become a healthcare compliance certification instructor as well. This would help me to eventually become a chief healthcare compliance officer at a healthcare company.

What did you like most about the online format?

I liked that I could communicate with my legal studies professors. I also appreciated that I had access to many of the same university resources as on-campus students; for example, I was able to get help from the Northeastern University Disability Resource Center even as an online student.

What is one exceptional project you worked on in the program?

One of the more memorable things I worked on was a paper about data privacy in the Data Regulation and Compliance course.

What tips do you have for someone as they begin graduate school?

I think that it’s important to study hard and to ask questions about the subject. Getting clarification about something you are unsure of will help you in the long run.
